Thanks Pete. I definitely will be connecting it to my opii panel
Thanks for the links. I'll be doing some research.

Old home had a Sears Craftsman garage door opener which lasted ~ 30 years or so.

At the time I added a Sears Craftman GDO monitor. I do not remember all the pieces but detached garage was wired to home (LV and HV).

Current home(s) have Liftmaster garage door openers and they have worked fine now for over 10 years. Cars have built in GDO buttons plus my adds.

I have added many doo whats to it using the OPII / CCTV et al. I can see if the door is open or get a message / text if it is open and I can remotely shut it today using OPII or Homeseer.

Originally added these then added more stuff to the garage doors.

Have a read here relating to some GDO stuff.

There are many more of these types of sites.

I'd rather not have something internet connected.

You can integrate automation with your OPII panel / plugin and Homeseer.

The GDO company automation fluff adds to the price of the GDO but not the quality of the basics (motor, drive et al).

    Recommend garage door opener

I'm getting a new garage door installed. I don't have an opener in place now. I'd like something with contact closures for monitoring or control via homeseer. I'd rather not have something internet connected.

Any recommendations? Any models to stay away from?
