Having trouble installing drivers for Aeon Gen 5 Z-stick

    Hey everyone,

First post here, please let me know if I'm in the wrong section... I finally jumped ship from Vera and bought the HS3 software, along with a Aeon Z-stick gen-5. Apparently I'm the only one in the world having install problems, because I can't find anything online... When I go to install the drivers for this device, nothing came up. I downloaded and manually installed the drivers from Aeon's website. The "UZB" device showed up under "ports" section in device manager, showing on 'com 10'. The only problem is I'm getting an error message stating "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". The device is plugged in, and blinking through all the colors. It's like the computer is not recognizing it at all. Oddly enough, when I go through and reinstall drivers with nothing plugged in at all, I get the same error message. It's as though it doesn't matter whether the stick is plugged in or not...

I've restarted my computer, re-downloaded the drivers, and tried installing countless times to no avail. I'm at my whits end, all I want to do is start putting light switches and sensors into HS3

    fixed:

OK, for anyone searching the forums for this exact issue here is what worked for me. I reinstalled the drivers about ten times. Nothing. I tried other USB ports. Nothing. I went back to the original port, and suddenly success! So, moral of the story, try to stick to the original port you plugged into if you can. I think what got me was switching ports immediately (or during the install).

You should often install the drivers, before pluggin in a device in a USB port to get it recognized. Unfortunately this is a standard windows behaviour.

I definitely will do that from now on, not sure why I didn't think of that at the time... I'm used to plug and play devices I guess.
