Look what DuPont has developed for OLED. It has been in the works for many years and has been licensed to several companies. As you can see, the article is 5 years old already. Hopefully it will catch on...

I actually can't imagine uses for this. What would be the uses for a foldable screen? About the only thing I can think of is maybe use in phones where the screen may be able to flex in your pocket a bit and not break.

The flexibility doesn't excite me much, either. But the very thin profile does! If they eventually have a touchscreen version, imagine what a nice wall-mount HA interface you could create just by mounting one of these over an in-wall j-box containing an ultra-small PC!

I would be excited if they can price these low enough... that we can make use of these as wallpaper to create giant video walls :P

It would be easier that configuring a projector big screen / big wall set up in a home deluxe movie theatre.

I can think of quite a few. Wraparound displays in public spaces. Easily portable large displays (just roll them up to ship them). Tablets or phones with screens that expand just by unfolding more...
