    Z-wave switch for multiple areas?

Hey Guys, my apologies if this is a repeat or dumb question. I'm actually a Vera user looking to make the switch since I have recently moved to a new house. The basement, being rather long, and all the lights are controlled by one single old-school switch. Since I'm about to install some potlights, I'd like to divide the room up in different zones, perhaps 3. I know I could simply install 3 zwave switches beside eachother, but are there any options out there that are better? A zwave switch that supports more than one light? If I used a scene controller, what devices to I need to use for each zone?

I would recommend installing 3 switches so you have control over the banks individually when manually clicking the switches. Then you can trigger all at once in various ways. If you are automating you could use motion sensors. You could buy a Z-Wave switch that has instant status and set up an event in HS3 that when the one switch is clicked the others could be turned on. The possibilities are really wide open once the switches are automated.

Fair enough, you are probably right.

I just thought it might look a bit off having 3 switches right inside the door.

I guess the most important part I didn't mention was that I was planning on using dimmable LED pot lights, about 20 of them or so. (I'll divide them up in 2 zones of 10).

Any switches you'd recommend for use with dimmable LEDs? I know I'll have to wire in a neutral for most of these, but that shouldn't be a problem since the electrical panel is actually down there anyways.
