I've been looking for a full-featured appliance module. I have a couple of Cooper Aspire RF modules, and I like everything about them except that they're 2-prong only (what were they thinking?).
I'm not a big fan of Leviton because of their oddball way of sending (or not sending) instant updates.
I have 7 or 8 old Intermatic HA02s, but they don't do scenes (but still work with my aspire scene controllers), updates, and use old zwave tech (don't like to route through them), etc. I only have one of the bunch in use, and it will be removed from the network after the holidays (on some Christmas lights).
So, the Aeon Labs Gen 5 Smarth Switch 6 looks good to me, however, since I only want to monitor power at my breaker box using my Aeon Home Energy Meter, I don't other energy reporting mucking things up.
Is it possible to bypass the reporting all together. I know I can exclude them from my graphs by unchecking them, and I assume I can configure them to never report in the settings by putting a "0" in each group's reporting interval in the devices' zwave configs, but will that do it? Do they make versions of the these modules without the energy reporting feature like they do with the micro controllers (I have several of these hard wired into lamps and really like them).
I really like Aeon labs offerings, especially since they have OTA firmware update capability. I suppose I can send them a message, they were very helpful when I was figuring out how to install micro controllers in my lamps for full local and remote control.
