    HS2 and Updating error

I have HS2 2.5.0.81 and have updated HS many times with no issue .. now I get the following message ..

Error accessing server: Error unzipping descriptions file: Error unzipping C:\\\\Program Files\\\\HomeSeer HS2\\\\updates2\\\\zips\\\\descriptions.zip, Wrong Local header signature: 0x4F44213C on line 0

How to I fix this and what is this telling me ?

There was another post about a problem updating here. It doesn't look exactly like yours, but it's similar and there may be a common problem in the background.

I assume you are trying to update a plug-in?
Is there anything in the Updates2/Zips folder?

I just tried it here. When I select the Updater from Tools, then click Next I get the same error. I'm guessing this is a problem on the HS2 update server.

I do get this error on severly homeseer appliance, it looks like this is an server issue.
the only way is to wait for HOMESEER support by repairing the server file.

Shameful how Homeseer treats their old customers
I cannot (and will not) update to HS3 and homeseer is totally neglecting their long time customers (those who made everything possible for Homeseer)
On android devices i have to manually update all my apps because if set to automatic updates, it will update HStouch with the new , incompatible, version.
Prettty annoying if you have more than one device
If the old version was placed in the Play store; the problem would not exist.

Now the updater is broken for several weeks and nobody in support cares !!

I am in the software industry as well and have managed both a small and large group of developers, and you are correct that during vacation periods, things are tough to manage .. however, how you do this is a reflection of your commitment to your paying (paid) clients ... ie the actions speak for themselves ...

We live in a very "now" world .. and forget how we got here .. it is a proven fact .. change is a manditory requirement but one must never forget where one has come from,

Time and time again .. forgetting about your "knittling" utimately is precursor to "non-existence".

Homeseer, your loyal customers purchased a product for the long term, and the stated service that Homeseer was proud to present.

Homeseer is a good product .. with lots of new competition on the market ...

Let now measure deeds .. not words.
