Working behind school firewall, No Plugins

I'm working on a project for a school and am behind a Lightspeed firewall. Homeseer is unable to download updater.txt or or for that download any plugins.

Even though the computer I'm working on is authenticated by logging in, homeseer is not logged in and has no outside internet access.

Does any one know of a work around? I was thinking of putting a small website in homeseers /html directory and launching a web page that could make a request to an outside url... that would trigger lightspeed to get a login? Then perhaps hs would be authorized to download a plugin.

Any suggestions.

There are a few ways to circumvent out-going connections through firewalls / web filters; however, since you are working on an official project for a school, I would think the school's Lightspeed admin needs to update their configuration to allow the Homeseer computer/IP to have access to the HS updater web site.

Problem solved

Convinced IT to allow the homeseer S6 access to the outside. Problem solved. now we have access to Plugins & upgrades.
