Thanks Eman, I was thinking a wireless location which had no cable for a POE connection?

Looking at the description of the camera it looks like it does support wifi connectivity, so presumably that would work with wifi and non Poe power....

Hi Paul, that's what I was thinking too. Takes me back to my question. If not POE powered (e.g. no network cable available to use for power), it must run on batteries? And If powered by battery, what battery type, and how long do the batteries last between changes?

AFAIK it comes with a power supply and is not battery powered.

I was going to argue that I never heard of battery powered network cameras, but guess what? Check this out : https://reolink.com/battery-powered-...ameras/#choose =====> https://reolink.com/product/argus-2/

Of course not that version/make in question but there you are! And indeed you can build one yourself using a raspberry pi and PiJuice plus their solar panel ====> But I think this the expensive way of going about it

Yeah given the POE splitter that was shown earlier in the thread, it looks like it would just be a power supply to (what looks like) micro-USB...

Reason for the question is for some locations where I don't have power or a network cable. Wondering how to power a camera if I wanted to install one.

I wasn't really sure if it was battery powered either, but with WiFi, I made an assumption that there was no network cable.
