Just went through an episode of needing a z-net system back up. I used a aeon z-stick as an interim interface while waiting for the sd card order. The aeon did not have all the devices which brought to mind another question. How do I backup/restore the network information and put it into my backup interface stick if the pi hardware crashes.

Z-net info is stored on the daughter card plugged into the Z-Net Raspberry Pi. It is not stored on the SD card that the Z-Net boots from. If the Pi hardware crashes you can move the z-wave daughter card to a new Raspberry Pi. If the SD card gets corrupt you can restore from a backup or in your instance just use the new SD card HomeSeer is sending you to boot you Z-net.
Since you are using a Z-Net you can backup/restore from the Z-Wave plugin under controller management. You will see an option under actions to backup/restore. The backup is stored on your controller in the HomeSeer root under ./Data/Z-Wave/.
