How to backup HS3 before upgrading to HS4

I'd like to know how to backup HS3 before I upgrade to HS4.
I would like to make sure if there is any problem during the upgrade that I can restore HS3.

I would just copy the entire HS3 folder to a dongle or drive, and if I needed to revert copy it back ( or re-install HS3 and copy all but the programme file back.)
