Manual - Guide aka End User Documentation

I see that there is extensive documentation for HS3, but can’t seem to find an updated version.

    And the handbook : http://www.prades.net/technical/HS3Help.pdf

Anyone know if there is such a thing?

    Thanks

There was nothing really more than that...I don't think the documentation was updated a huge amount in the life of HS3 - the original is available here http://help.homeseer.com/help/HS3/st...are_interfaces

There appears to be some articles here about HS3 and HS4 that might also be of use to you https://helpdesk.homeseer.com/

The documentation post HS2 was a little bit of a poor relative I am afraid, your best bet is if you are struggling with something then post here or do a search on this forum.

Considering it is a full version update and with all the screen changes, items added and many removed it would be nice to have full, (or close to it...lol) set of documentation for someone new to HS...

That does seem like a reasonable expectation, but HST appears to have decided that the effort to create and maintain good documentation is not worth the cost. I don't understand the decision, and can't point to a specific time or event, but the effects have become evident over time.

AFAIK there is no effort underway to reverse that, and I suspect that HST believes providing this forum is more cost-effective than trying to maintain up-to-date documentation. Occasionally, some users have taken on projects themselves to document HS features. Randy's 'Event Clinic' was the most recent and effective example. Unfortunately, even those efforts tend to become stale over time, and maintenance of them is still an issue. I agree with mrhappy That is the best course available.
