I have a PC5010 panel and a LCD5500Z keypad. I replaced the battery in my panel and powered up my system. I made sure the transformer power was on as well. My panel powered up but no ready, alarm, or trouble light was on. The keys were lighted and when I hit the # sign I get the message "please secure before arming". I can find no open zones and when I enter * + 2 and run the trouble tests there is no problem. I reset the clock, defaulted the panel and ran only zones 1 and 2 and can't find any faults in the panel. I have gone through all the worksheets, made sure I defined the zones correctly and can find nothing wrong. I disabled the communicator. I can arm the alarm and the red light comes on, but I can't trigger an alarm by opening a tested zone like my front door. When I disarm the ready light, armed light and trouble light are off.
