Is Private Messaging disabled? - PMs have been restored!

I received a message, when trying to find my inbox, to the effect that the administrator has disabled private messaging.
Is this true?

I know PM's are disabled and have been since I joined, but vBulletin limits PM's to member-to-member communication and any member can opt out from receiving them. The communication system you had enabled when I first joined was not private messaging and it was vulnerable to spamming. Now that you are moderating membership, I would think PMs would be safe and valuable to members. PMs are enabled on almost every forum I belong to and are preferable to emails IMHO.
