    SEL Hardware Only option?

Apologies if this has already been covered before, but I currently have HS3-Pro running on a Linux Virtual Machine. Due to some issues with the server that hosts the VM, I am looking at other options.

I have a Rapsberry Pi 3, but from what I understand, the 1GB RAM may be a limit. I currently run 6 plugins, and want option to add at least 2-3 more in future.

I was curious if its possible to purchase a Hometroller SEL without HS3 license, since I already have a license that I could use on SEL?

Thinking that Homeseer does not sell the SEL without a HS3 license.

The RPi will run HS3 Pro fine with 6 Plugins although you might be pushing on the CPU / Memory utilization depending how much you are doing with the 6 plugins.

That said the SEL is a Gigbyte computer that you can purchase barebones on Amazon.

You can update it to using LUbuntu 18.04 / 64 bit. Thinking that the SEL has either 14.04 or 16.04 LUbuntu at 32 bit.

Thinking it is barebones. You can install an 8Gb RAM stick and a fast 120 Gb SSD drive in it.

Many folks here run HS3 Pro on the Intel NUC computer. Here running HS3 Pro on an iSeries 3 / 16Gb of RAM in Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit plus Oracle Virtual box mini Windows server VMs (VBs) for SAPI speech.

Any Intel / AMD based mini PC today will run Linux fine for Homeseer 3. These also will run Windows 10.

There are a few Homeseer users today running HS3 Lite or HS3 Pro on the Pine64 and Rock64.

Here running Homeseer 3 Lite (S2) on a Pine64 2Gb ARM based computer doing Ubuntu 18.04. Runs fine.
Sells for $32 these days sans power supply and case. It is larger than an RPi

You can purchase the newer Rock64 with 4Gb and a 32Gb eMMC drive, power supply and case for less than $100 these days. The ARM based computers will not run Windows 10. The Pine64 and Rock64 runs circles around the RPi.

It is the same size as an RPi but a bit more with 4Gb and a 32Gb eMMC. ($45 base price with 4Gb of RAM).
