My WS100 wall switch is not working and the indicator light is flashing at about 1 Hz. The switch manual does not indicate what is meaning of this 1/sec flashing. I tried to reset the switch up - up.up.up. and down.down.down but the switch is still not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, George.

WS100 indicator light is flashing

I replaced the light switch with a new one was not successful in changing the node with the new switch node so I need to reprogram the switch.
Unfortunately, another switch is blinking its LED indicator light and is not operating neither manually or via HS3. It is exactly the same situation as the switch I replaced. I tried to rescan, optimized, fully optimized but no success. When I test connectivity, it shows this: “Successfully sent a frame to node 11 (Node 11 Kitchen Kitchen lights) which was acknowledged.” I have no clue what is going on. It could be coincidental, some how I doubt it. This can get expensive quickly. Please advise.

I have two switches doing this as well. They both have the indicator light flashing every second or so. Neither turns the connected light on or off. Neither works remotely. The reset has not worked (three up, three down presses). I cannot remove them from the network manually, as they do not send a signal to be removed. Any insights would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this.

I installed about 20 WS100 about 3 years ago. Over time, I've had the same exact thing happen to 6 of them - blinking led indicator and the switch doesn't work manually or through smartthings. Shutting down power and repowering didn't solve the problem. I assumed they died. I replaced them with new ones and the new ones work. I also installed about 40 WD100, and none of those have problems. Sounds like WS100 have a high failure rate.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I was gone. I have system installed about 4 years ago, Z-S2, 22 nodes most for light switches. I had 2 failures of HS-WS100+ about a year ago. This year we were gone for 3 months, no one at home. To my surprise 6 HS-WS100+ failed. All had Date Code 1443. LED was blinking on some repeatedly on some random. I repowered the house, tested connectivity, no success.
I replaced them with HS-WS200+ to original nodes and they work. So, over 4 years I replaced 8 HS-WS100 switches, latest ones with Date Code 1443, previous I don’t know.
If this is normal it is getting expensive.

Very recently PG&E shut off power, after power came back about 4 WS100 switches sitting there with blinking LED, power cycling seems to have no effect. Anyone ever found a way to resuscitate or even have some inkling of what is going on? rjh In the past had some wWD100 switches die, and thought I once had them work again after a power cycle.
Interestingly enough, might be pure coincidence, but the WS100 switches that seems to get hosed up are in a box with 4 of them side by side, in 2 different locations!

Can you add the switch back to the network? Does it still control the load?

I cannot remove it or add it to the network
I cannot communicate with it from HS
I cannot factory reset it (3 quick taps up/down)
A power recycle appears to make no difference
Dead as a door-nail.
I believe that one of them is now the second time I might have to replace it. No issues with dimmers which is 90% of the devices in the house.
5 dead switches = $200
I noted I had a typo in my previous post, "in the past I had some WS100 switches die" , not WD100.
Made little video of dead switches but probably too big to upload. Can pull on of the switches out and mail it.

This post seems to have died, but just wondering if anybody has a solution to this, or are the switches truly dead? I have had four of these WS100 switches die now, getting tired of replacing them, getting costly. They only lasted about a year or so. Seems to be a high failure rate with these switches. They are completely dead. Power off/on does nothing to fix them, trying to reset them does nothing.
