Well then yes that is off that they didn't Poe. I missed that before

I've been looking at adding additional cameras to our home and PoE cameras are essentially the only outdoor camera I'll consider except for the most remote of locations where it may be near impossible to trench a cable out. I don't like relying on Wi-Fi for what I consider more critical infrastructure items.

I upgraded the resolution on all of my cameras last year and that just forced me to buy an upgraded PC to run Blue Iris because the old one was no longer sufficient. I will be thinking long and hard about bandwidth and other implications before doing any more resolution upgrades,,, I think there is a point where you really have to challenge the benefit of higher resolution vs the unintended consequences.

Same here, no POE is a no go. Together with the low resolution, it feels like a missed opportunity to me.
What is the benefit of using this camera compared to e.g. Hikvision ? Is it only the integration in HS, or is there more ?

Another vote for POE. Way easier especially for exterior perimeter cams.

It would be great if Homeseer expanded the line to include some POE cameras in addition to the Wi-Fi ones but I just don't see making a combo camera that does both. You would be paying for both features while always using only one or the other.
Another great point, I'll take POE, no need for Wi-Fi.

Another vote for POE. All my current cameras are POE and anything else doesn’t make sense for me.
