Homeseer Leak Detector - Wired Probe

Homeseer Leak Detector - Wired Probe

I bought one of these to monitor the water level in my Koi pond. I have it set to trigger when the water level drops below the two metal contacts on the submerged probe. Problem is that the case on the probe is not water tight, especially around the pins the push in and allow water into the probe case. I have tried siliconing the case and base of the probes so they don't push in, glue, everything. It all breaks down eventually while the probe sits in the water.

Any ideas on how to better seal this, especially around the base of the push pins ? Thanks in advance...

It is really not designed for the application you are applying it to.

I use various sizes of these float sensors connected to door/window sensors for similar wet applications.

Doesn't the Homeseer leak detector come with a 2-prong probe extension cable that keeps the main body away from the water? It's the 4th image in the store listing for the device.
