    Question

I have been running Homeseer on a PC (XP Pro) since it came out upgrading as new releases come out. I only run HS on the PC, but I am getting tired of dealing with virus software, windows updates, performance degrading as the HS uptime increases.
My devices are X10 and Zwave. I want to still control my media that's on a server, and loose as little functionality as possible. Is the "Zee" a good solution?
    Thanks!

As of today, the Zee will handle X10, Z-Wave and Insteon. There is no music or media player plugin for it at this time. A future Zee unit is rumored to support more plugins.

I missed the Insteon announcement relating to the Zee. Where is it?

I have been reading that plugins are coming, any idea when?
If I but the Zee now will I be able to upgrade when it supports plugins?

          Do not count on plugins.
It is a basic controller hence the low price for software and hardware.
If you want a real controller get a HomeTroller.

So I am guessing that I have to edit the update.hs file or just manually do a get eh?

                Code:
                root@ICS-HS3-Zee:/usr/local/HomeSeer# ./updatehs.sh 80

                  Edited the updatehs.sh ....

                  Code:
                  sudo rm hslinux_zee_3_0_0_$1.tar.gz
                  sudo wget [url]http://homeseer.com/updates3/hslinux_zee_3_0_0_83.tar.gz[/url]
                  sudo tar xvf hslinux_zee_3_0_0_83.tar.gz
Why the change in methodology? (PITA)

Just replace the version number with "83".
                  Updated; neato stuff here!

Thinking out loud a bit.....now if the base Zee could talk UPB that would be a feat!

I have tested the UPB plugin running on the Zee with the Zee running base HS3 and it does work just fine...
