Actually, this error means the Z-Wave plugin can be loaded. Are there any messages in the log?

I've posted a helpdesk ticket this morning -

When you enable the plugin, there should be log entries. Try disabling the plugin, then re-enable it, then check the logs.

              @Nick

Rich has updated the Zee new Z-Wave driver to be able to utilize the new Homeseer Z-Net device.

Here is a picture of the current Homeseer Zee using most current Z-wave drivers.

Personally I would update the Homeseer Zee OS first with V.162 and then update the Z-Wave Zee drivers.

The current Z-Wave driver V 3.0.0.216 will work fine with the Z-Wave Aeon stick (I tried it and it was fine).

You are currently utilizing V 3.0.0.190. Most current version is 3.0.0.216. Most current Z-Wave 216 driver will not work with the older Zee HS3 OS.

BTW in order to run the most current Z-Wave Zee version you have to also be running most current Zee - HS3 - Lite OS which is V.162.

Baby steps here. Disable all of the plugins first. Update the Zee HS3 OS to V.162. Then update the plugins.

1 - Disable all plugins first on the Zee
2 - Update the Zee to most current Zee OS shown on update page
              3 - Restart Zee
4 - Update Plugins on Zee (well specifically Z-Wave Plugin).

                HOW do I update this? I can't find any options to do ANYTHING with the zwave stick, etc;
PLUGINS do not show me anything able to be done for zwave....

DISABLE ALL the plugins first; baby steps here.

Go to Tools / General / Setup and push the check for updates button as shown in the picture above.

The update is more than a minute long. Be patient as it will update HS3 slowly on the RPi. Go meandering in your home and do not watch the clock.

If you do not have that button we will need to try it via an SSH session. You want to stick with HS3 Zee release versions of the HS3 software for the time being.

I do not recall if the update button was there on Version .152 of the Zee at this time.
Are you familiar with remoting to the Zee via SSH?

If not familiar with SSH remote of the Zee and you have a monitor / keyboard / mouse connection to the Zee we can just do it via a terminal session manually.

Do that first and show me a picture of the updated Zee HS3 OS. You can just do a clip of text and paste here.

Z-Wave configuration is a 3 step thing. (we will get to that part in a little bit).

                      OK

BTW if you configure a VPN to your home network and your office allows for VPN you can do all of this via a VPN tunnel to home. You might want to entertain this feature on your home network firewall (say running OpenVPN). You can't do this though via the GUI you see from work unless you install an SSH page / applet to your Homeseer Zee. i think it would maybe work as the SSH session is local to the Zee.

1 - guessing you are using a windows box on your network
2 - install Putty and WinSCP on the box
3 - you need to know the IP of the ZEE
4 - SSH from your Windows box to the ZEE
5 - PAUSE here. Post here when you have installed the two said application on your Windows box and have SSH'd to your Hometroller Zee.

5 - You have to shut down the HS3 application first.
6 - figure out how to SSH to the box (personally easier than using a monitor, keyboard and mouse).
7 - show me an SSH command line prompt on the RPi utilize and do a "uname -a"
8 - copy and paste that here.

If you are using windows then download Putty / WinSCP to your windows box first.

                      Putty can be found here.

                      WinSCP can be found here.

If you utilize Linux desktops then disregard the above.

Here is what I see SSHing and logging in to my Hometroller Zee. Do a clip and paste from your Hometroller Zee when you get there.

OK, I have no idea WHAT I am using (but am computer literate, so do step by step, I understand the concept of what we are doing, but have not used these tools)

                        1. have WINDOWS
2 downloaded PUTTY install package, and WinSCP package
                        3. IP is 192.168.0.108
                        4. I am viewing my home machine, from office, using TightVNC, but I have control over it; so we can plod through

I AM HERE right now, none of steps below have been done.
ZEE is powered on, I have internet explorer viewing it with the SETUP screen

                          OK

1 - shut down Homeseer 3 on the Zee (tools / system / SHUTDOWN Homeseer)
2 - Putty to the IP of the Zee. (configure one SSH terminal session to IP)
3 - log in with your homeseer user name and password
4 - type "sudo su" after logging in and show me what you see.
                          5 - type your password
                          6 - next type in cd /usr/local/HomeSeer
7 - next type in just ls

Attached is the Putty configuration window and the putty session to the Zee. You should see the same.

I can't get past LOG IN AS -
I have tried all permutations of the device (HomeZEEMaster, etc), and items that I recorded as passwords, but all come up as invalid

I had recorded all these when I set up the device.
I have these stored in KeePass, and I am trying all combinations of this

any way to bypass this, or use the zEE device ID?
