The HSM100 can be used as a garage door open close indicator.
The HSM100 has a light sensor inside the unit. You can drive this light sensor with a LED with a series power source and a plunger type micro-switch or tilt sensor. All external ambient light would have to be isolated or shielded from the sensor for proper garage door on/off operation. In software, the device light percentage will give the light intensity when the LED is on or off e.g. garage door on off.
