    98% of the time, more harm is done than good when you remove a Z-Wave node from a network because you are experiencing problems. As your first step in debugging a Z-Wave problem, DO NOT remove it from the network.

    When you remove a node from the network, ALL routing information that ALL of the controllers in the network possess is lost, ALL neighbor information that the nodes around the device had is lost, and configuration settings in the node are reset to their factory defaults when the node is re-added to a network.
