    Hi Al,

OK, It works now. I removed the device from the z-wave network again but using the "Best Method" described here:
    http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?p=1036607
I did this with the sensor sitting on top of the Hometroller and running on battery power instead of a wall wart (I don't know if this last part made any difference). Previously I performed the "Alternate Method". Also, I added back it using the Add Node function under the Setup>Interfaces>Manage page. After pressing the Add Node button, I pressed the blue button on the sensor. The detector first came up as the battery. So I had 2 batteries for awhile. I did a rescan and optimized the node 4 times, set the sensor to come on every 6 minutes and ate some lunch. After lunch I noticed that all 4 outputs seem to be functioning correctly and the motion detector is no longer an ON/OFF device.

So I guess all is well now. Thanks for the help.

    Robert
