Rescan and device locked up and dropped from the network???

So I’m playing around with all the advance settings I can do with zwave. This is all new to me.

I ran a rescan, and my device physically locked up. I had to unplug it and plug it back in.

i also lost it from my zwave network looking through node information.

why would this happen ?!
