John245 russr999 700 series chips allow for frequency changes in the field so this may be easier than originally thought. We should know more when we're closer to release.

macromark Will this smartstick work together with the Z-NET v1. I own 3 Z-Net's (one defect) with the EU Z-wave chip on board.

And more important can the information from the Z-Net v1 restored to the new solution.

macromark Obviously this is off in the future, but is there an updated ZNet with a 700 series chip on the roadmap?

And if the frequency could be changed, an onboard EU version should also possible.

Users should be able to 'upgrade' to the SmartStick+ G3 with and export/import process. We have been working on that specific feature for some months and appear to have it implemented.

Yes, we are working on that as well.

Probably would be true. I don't know for sure yet.

macromark it is a single SKU. So EU version shoulv be no issue.

There are ALWAYS more issues involved with marketing products outside of your own country, including regulations, certifications and distribution.

Also curious if there has ever been any thought to adding a Zigbee radio to ZNet or making a Zigbee version of Znet? In general Zigbee has the same limitations as ZWave as to how many nodes you can add to a single hub before you start experiencing reliability issues. This is why hubs from Hue, Sengled, etc. only support 64 nodes and caution against actually installing more than 50.

I know you can create a mesh of Hubitats which will give you both radios in each location but that seems like an extra layer of complexity that you don't really need if Homeseer is managing your control logic. Just seems like a no brainer to want to install multiple ZNets to manage coverage and device count concerns so why not address the same issues for Zigbee at the same time?

There is a USB Z-Wave/ZigBee stick available from HomeSeer. It does not use the 700 series chip.
