    I like less typing too :-)! I ran the info script again and it is different. There are two lines at the end about ser2net not recognized by the utility - is that anything to worry about?

          You are all set - that signature is correct for the patched ser2net.

          The info script is missing that particular entry; I will post an update.

                  zwolfpack - A couple of weeks ago you helped me with two z-nets that had problems. We jumped through a bunch of hoops. Was that process in effect what is accomplished with the znetcare utility? Or is this a different monster killer?
