I had a bad card in my Z-NET so I switched over to a SS+ to keep up and running. I got a replacement board but wanted to test it before putting it the Z-NET. So I took one of my spare RPi and created another Z-NET and did some testing.
In the process I thought I'd try adding it to the network as a second Z-NET as a secondary controller. It worked just fine during my testing. Once I got done I went to remove it but the only remove command said it would delete the entire network. That's not good. I removed the SS+ from my main Z-NET and put in the replacement card and thought I'd then restore it but that's when I found there was no restore option. It's like some flag is set on the interface care that it's a secondary controller so it won't allow a restore.
I had one option left and that's to make my new Z-NET the master, since it's blank at this point, and I should be able to restore to it and that would will make it node one. So I tried but I get an error saying it needs a file called "/opt/HomeSeer/Data/Z-Wave/nvr681.bin". I don't ever remember seeing that file before
Found an old nvr681.bin and tried the restore to a clean Z-NET but no joy. It looked like it was working till it said it couldn't find node two but the network I'm restoring doesn't have a node2. Not only that but even though the backup file had the right network it created a new network instead of restoring the network in the file. Something is really screwed up.
Need Help on this one.
I sure wish there was a factory reset option on the Z-NET so you could just reset it without messing anything else up.
