Z-NET interface going RED after no internet

We recently had some widespread internet outages in my city. After a couple of days without internet, my Z-net went red and would only go green when the internet was back up. I have no remote access, and I can see NO reason why losing the internet should cause this interface to have a red light.
Just to make sure, once the internet was restored, I isolated it from the internet (only the HOMETROLLER PRO and znet interface were connected together via a switch) and it seems to have worked for a day or two, then it failed again (went red led).
My system is only made up of a few ZWave devices only.

About the only thing I can think of that would do this is:

    1) Make sure the Z-Net is enabled,
    2) Make sure the IP address(es) are correct,
    3) and make sure the port is correct.

    PS
I fought this battle and won it only because others, here, suggested I put a router inside the ISP's router. Now when the ISP's network goes down, wonky, or they "improve" it in some way I never wanted, asked for, or approved of, my HS network doesn't.

Thank you! That may be it-My IP address was set to DHCP, I changed it to static and set HS4 for network interface and the static IP address. I will test it again...
