    Z-Net to G3 transfer

For whatever reason my Z-Net has died.
I've ordered a G3 from Homeseer via Amazon, since I can get next day delivery on it.

Is there any way to transfer the zwave network over to the G3? I've not explicitly done a backup of the zwave network, so I will have whatever data HS4 has as a default. I did add some additional zwave devices this weekend, so I don't know if HS4 makes a backup of the network that is useful for a restore when that is done or not.
I do have Z-Wave2_[1-5].db files in Data\Z-Wave\Backup - are these the backup files?

My 1st generation Z-Net stopped working, so I ordered the latest G3 version. The failed unit still had one of the internal lights lit up, so I figured that after 7 or 8 years of use, it wasn't a power issue and it was time to get a new one. However, I plugged a new power supply into the old unit and it came back to life. The power supply was the culprit.
Once the new Z-Net arrived, I retired the old one to be used as a backup.

There are a few steps to prepare the new Z-Net for use. The directions are found at https://docs.homeseer.com/products/interfaces/z-net

I did a restore from my old "legacy" device file as the Homeseer documents describes it:
    https://docs.homeseer.com/products/i...z-wave-network
I don't recall what the Z-Wave backup was named, but I selected the most recent one. It took a little while for the restoration process, but overall, it was pretty painless.

I just came back to update. The original power supply was dead. The spare power supply I plugged was also dead. Also, for whatever reason, the network was bjorked too, so I had to do the reset from the console on boot up to reset it, and it picked up everything again.

I've no idea what happened really. We didn't have any power issues last night, and it's been sitting in its current location for the past several years (certainly since before times), so..

The G3 will be here tomorrow, and I'm going to move it to a new location anyway so that we can move furniture around, and I'll put the existing z-net into my spares "just in case" box.

It's saying "No UZB Connected". What's a UZB, and should I be concerned that I don't have one?

          I think a UZB is a Z-wave stick, not a Z-Net. I found this that may help:

Interesting. I wonder why it's looking for an external z-wave stick.
Here's the boot screen for my Z-Net, which does not have an external z-wave stick.
Now, it may have been showing this message for the last 5 or 6 years since I got it - I honestly can't remember ever looking at the boot up screen before (it just works, well worked).

The older Z-Nets were not world-wide devices. The Z-Wave hat is only for US. If you were to purchase a Z-Net for Europe for example, you'd get an external stick but not the internal card. That's what the image is looking for but since you don't have one, I assume you are in the US.

              The new G3 has a programmable world-wide Z-Wave hat.

EDIT: I now power my Z-Nets using PoE adapters since I had multiple power supply failures in the past.

I was planning on moving my z-net (and I will be installing my replacement G3) over to my coms corner in the livingroom/kitchen area. I have a 5 port high power USB power adapter that's powering a Raspbee Pi for my zigbee equipment.

I have a couple of those PoE adapters (with 2.1mm plugs) sitting ready to move my Wi-Fi APs as part of the living room reconfigure.

Did the restore a couple of hours ago, and after a reboot, things seem to be working <fingers crossed>
I did have to set the Interface type as "Ethernet Interface" rather than "Homeseer Z-NET Interface", since it couldn't find the device otherwise. That may have been down to the fact that the z-net (new and old) weren't allowed through my firewall. I've now added rules to allow DNS/NTP/http/https out, as well as port 8245 (NO idea what that's for).

My old Z-net seems to have died, and I ordered a new G3 version to replace it. I have a backup to restore my old network, but being in Europe, how do I set the G3 to the european frequency ?
