Hi. It's October 2020. Has this been looked at and solved?

I prefer not to use myHS for iphone connection, would prefer direct connection thru HomeSeerMobile. Here is my setup and specific issues:

running HS4, on server 2019, not SSL, port 8080.

Iphone inside wi-fi network, using SHORT NAME (like myserver01 on port 8080) - Connects FINE
Iphone inside wi-fi network, using private ip address (like 192.168.15.200 on port 8080) - Connects FINE
Iphone inside wi-fi network, using full DNS path (like myserver01.mydomain.com on port 8080) - Error "System is not responding"

Iphone on sprint public network, using full DNS path (like myserver01.mydomain.com on port 8080) - Error "System is not responding"
Iphone on sprint public network, using public ip address on port 8080 - Connects FINE

Bump, there is now several threads on this, maybe at some point someone from homeseer will bother reading one of them and share with us their intentions in solving it or not (works on android, beats me...)

Double bump 18 months later. Ran across this thread (still on the first page of Forum posts) after posting similar issues here: https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ho...d-hsmobile-ios

Not really interested (at this time) to start running a VPN, though I suppose I should probably think about it.
