All of my Dahua (who bought Armcrest) cameras are automatically recognized very nicely and show up HS Mobile with both snapshots and MJPEG (though my gosh this is old tech). I'm having a ton of issues with a MileSight and D-Link camera however. I've got URLs for snapshots and MJPEG which work rock solid via wget on the HS3 linux box itself, however I get no love from HS Mobile. The error message in the logs is a very vanilla:
The URLs are formatted as such (the password contains no : @ / ! which are not properly escaped):

These URLs are properly saved to /usr/local/HomeSeer/Config/hspi_HSTouch.ini
The camera and HS3 box are on a dedicated VLAN which hardwired switched gigabit connection -- the snapshot takes 0.03s according to wget from the command line. Unclear how this could possibly be timing out.
