HomeTroller Plus Z-Wave Interface Issue

I originally installed my HomeTroller Plus and Z-Wave Interface replacement on 9/2021 and it worked fine. I did notice, however, that Windows update was turned off and, wanting to make sure the Windows platform was up to date, I turned on Windows Update and upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10 Pro: 20H2 version 19042.1566. I had to reinstall the device drivers for the Z-Wave/Zigbee controller, however, in order to get it to initialize. Since that time, I noticed that the Z-Wave devices weren't working and, after reinstalling the device drivers and trying to install a new Z-Wave interface, I was getting the following error message:

• Fail to start the Z-Wave interface. Please try again. - Interface Z-Wave Controller failed to start. Please try again from the Manage Interfaces page. ERROR: Error, timeout waiting for another Z-Wave API to initialize.

After removing and reinstalling the Z-Wave drivers a number of times, I figured that somehow the USB stick had gone bad. So I ordered a SmartStick+ and tried to install it, using the fresh drivers from the Homeseer site, same result. Finally, I upgraded Homeseer to the Beta 4.2.10.6 hoping that might be the problem, no joy.

At startup, the Homeseer log says:
