    Zee crashed "Recovery application crashed"

Yesterday I was attempting to re-active an HS-MS100 and my Hometroller Zee S2 appeared slow, almost unresponsive.
So I issued a reboot from my web interface.
    It never came back
    Tried rebooting several times.
Today I connected monitor, keyboard etc. and my stomach churned to see

1.917798 SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed: data probably corrupt

followed by about 20 more related/similar errors regarding data cache entries and block entries, ending with

    Recovery application crashed
    Starting shell
...can't access tty: job control turned off"

It's been working fine since I installed a new SD card from HS early this year.
Can someone please tell me I'm not giving this device the last rites?
    Suggestions?

    Thanks
    Steve

Looks like the SD card is toast. Replace the SD card and restore a backup to it and you should be back in business.

ok, that will be a hunt through my archives this weekend.
So I should expect to ditch that card, right? I think I'd be too spooked to use it again anyway, especially given how inexpensive they are now.
From your experience, it's not suggesting there's anything wrong with the box?

      Thanks
      Steve

Hi Steve, based on those errors I would expect the card, not the box.

          Cheers

Thanks Al - I hope that's the case.
I have read other threads that talk about micro SD cards going bad, so this is my lesson to have both spare cards and recent backup images of the card, not just the HomeSeer backups.

I run HS3 on SEL but regularly backup the SD card in my Pi to a 2nd one. I can then swap it in quickly if needed without having to completely rebuild the OS.
