Hometroller gone bad, how to replace

My hometroller zee s2 is intermittently not working, it hangs and seems to not always recover. I feel i need a new unit even though its less than three years old. The last time i got it up and running i took a backup and saved it but not sure what the format of the file is so i can find it. Once i found it is there a post on here that will walk me through not losing any of my settings and migrating? Thanks

Can you explain what you mean by ‘’backup’’

is it a backup of your sd card? A backup in the config (if so you should have downloaded .zip a file on the computer used remotely )

a backup via the homeseer interface, so you are saying a zip? should i have backed up the sd card too?
