Speak action seems to block subsequent actions

This is a very recent issue.
I noticed this morning that my event to water all the lawns executed as far as the initial Speak command to advise that watering will begin, but then none of the 5 following actions to the sprinkler were being executed.

I turned on the sprinkler from the device page, no problem.
then I commented-out the Speak instruction, manually ran the event and the watering is happening as expected.

Has anyone else noticed anything unusual like this?

I noticed it on another event last night, on the garage door - I wouldn't receive the email indicating the garage door was shut because it followed the Speak command. But once I changed the order, it worked fine.

Once my watering routine completes, I will reboot the Zee and re-test to see if that makes a difference.

Update - a soft restart didn't work but a cold re-boot seemed to fix things.
