Root password for HS Pi

I just received and setup a new HS Pi. I'm trying to ssh into it as root but can't find a password that works. Is this possible or do I have to login as a non-root user and sudo to root.

IIRC, there is no root user, just homeseer (and you can sudo commands logged in as that account).

edit: looks like my install has the default 'pi' user too, but I thought newer distributions of PiOS dropped that.

homeseer worked. I'm migrating from an HS Zee that has a root user so I assumed the HS Pi had one too.
