Pre purchase question - scripting on the Zee

The scripting support on Homeseer looks very interesting. But I'm not sure what the current state of play is with the newer software -

Can I ask: what scripting does the Zee support? C#, perl, others? I assume VB isn't on the Zee as it's a linux based device?

Perl is my personal favourite, unless it's very 2nd class and not well supported, in which case which one should I learn?

Not asking for a tutorial - there are loads of examples around, but I just wanted to get an overall picture

    Cheers!

The Zee supports both VB.NET and C# via Mono.

According to HST, C# is faster to run on the Zee hence its recent introduction to HS3.

      Thanks Jon.

      That's good - I quite like C#.

Is perl dead[1] then, or just a bit sidelined?

[1] In the context of the Zee!!! Everyone knows perl will live forever, just to annoy the python folk

      Cheers,

      Tim
