multiple HomeSeer controllers in one network

How would I hook-up multiple HomeSeer Home Controllers - say one PC-based using HS3 and a HomeTroller Zee S2? into one network?

I'm having this problem because multiple of my devices (one audio system and the DSC PC1864 security system) use RS232 serial interfaces and I cannot stretch RS232 over my entire house to connect the security system to the PC where the audio system is wired.

So I was thinking about installing a 2nd Home Controller near the security system and then somehow connect the two controllers into one controller network.

    Is this possible?

It's possible in theory, but not necessarily easy as HS was not designed for that type of distributed environment. Instead you could use a Device Server (Ethernet to Serial converter). That's what I do for my remote serial connections. I use a Quatech QSE-100 that I bought used on eBay. Here's an example of a similar unit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121991153400

ineresting idea to use rs232 to wifi adapter

That's an interesting idea and would make for a simpler system. I did some research and found some smaller, low-power devices that translate the rs232 to a wifi signal. Supposedly you can then receive the wifi signal with a driver on your PC, which converts it back to rs232.

      Here is one of them:

Yes, you'd run special driver software on your HS pc which makes it look like a local serial port. Make sure there's a driver available for whatever OS you are running. Here's another example of a wifi one: http://store.homeseer.com/store/Glob...rter-P868.aspx.
