event triggers whilst it should not........ I think.. :-)

    Hi,

I created an event based on my Nest camera's detecting a person. I only want this even to trigger when I am in bed, so I created a virtual device called "sleep". When I go to bed I manually set this to "ON" and at 5am this automatically gets set to "OFF". Now I set up the event like below, hoping it will only trigger when this sleep device is set to "ON". But it also triggers during the day when sleep is set to "OFF". What is wrong with my event?

As you can see, it triggers when sleep is "OFF"

It makes sense. Your condition triggers if you have a person at the back door. Or, if you have a person at the back yard AND sleep is on.
what you need to do is add a AND IF virtual virtual sleep has a value equal to on to the IF Back door camera (there will be a green plus on the first trigger to add that)
Without that, back door will always trigger

      ah....... I see... Thanks.

I thought the event read as:

if either of the 2 camera's pick up a person and sleep is on then execute.......

      Sorted.
