Replacing Unknown (Defective) Switch

I will be replacing a switch that has gone bad, HS-WD100+ and the status of the switch is 'unknown'.

How do I go about replacing it with the new switch and keep all my events in tact?

Is there a specific order to doing so? Could not find anything on the board.

Easy, just go into the root device of the WD-100+ on the Z-Wave tab and click the Replace Node button. It works well.
