I've had a problem plaguing me ever since I installed HS3: If my computer is connected to a VPN then HS3 reports my machine's VPN IP address rather than the actual local LAN address.
If I go to Tools->Setup->Network, the IP address to bind to is 192.168.0.100, which is correct (confirmed by looking at settings.ini). And indeed it seems to always bind to that address, because I can connect to it anytime I punch that address into a browser on my LAN.
However, if I try to connect via HSTouch, Z-Tool+, or find.homeseer.com, then it tries to connect to 10.33.35.199, which is the address that my machine gets via VPN; NOT my LAN address. When I go to Tools->Help, it also reports that address:
Current Date/Time: 2/24/2017 22:10:53
HomeSeer Version: HS3 Standard Edition 3.0.0.298
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional - Work Station
System Uptime: 0 Days 0 Hours 35 Minutes 24 Seconds
IP Address: 10.33.35.199
Number of Devices: 15
Number of Events: 2
Available Threads: 800
Enabled Plug-Ins
3.0.0.68: HSTouch Server
3.0.1.87: Z-Wave
Why would HS3 report an IP address different than the one it's binding to? How do I override this behavior? This machine has a static IP address, so I'd be happy to even statically set this address; I just need to be able to connect to it!
