I'm moving from Vera to HS3 and have a platform architecture question.
If I go with Windows, yuck, then any only old PC will work so I can go down to the local store and get a cheep board, a wall type mounting case and drive and I'm done. For those that know HS3 well what is the recommended RAM size.
If I go with Linux, much better option that windows when it come to a stable system IMHO, what processor architecture are supported? Is it just the X86 hardware platforms or are other processors supported? If just the X86 then the same above hardware should be fine.
If I want to do my initial testing on my Intel based MAC running El Capitan will HS3 run with just the addition of MONO for OS X or do I have to run full the Linux OS under a virtual system?
Considering the sales price I'm likely to go with PRO only because the other things I'd buy, such as HSTouch Designer, come free.
Oh yes, I'd like to get answers from the board if at all possible so I can order during the sale. Bad me for waiting but I thought the sale was the entire month of May but I was totally wrong on that.
FWIW, I tried searching for MAC and OSX but Bulletin Board won't allow searches for three letter or less. This is not uncommon on BB. I think the operators could add an exception for certain three letter words so if that's the case I would hope they would add MAC, OSX and a few other common three letter search words to the list.
