check_passwd not working in Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit fix

Here have been updating my two HS3 boxes from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04.

First box to update is Intel iSeries box.

    /opt/HomeSeer# lsb_release -a
    LSB Version: core-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarchrinting-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarch:security-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarch
    Distributor ID: Ubuntu
    Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
    Release: 18.04
    Codename: bionic

    /opt/HomeSeer# uname -a
    Linux ICS-HS3Lite 4.15.0-29-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 17 15:39:52 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Found that the check_passwd program did not work.

Created a new one with ZWolfpack's update to c file:

    gcc -Wall password_check.c -o check_passwd -lcrypt

    and it worked great.
