  • Tracking down where a change is coming from

    Morning,

There is an event in the system somewhere that is making one of my devices get turned off. However I cannot track down where it is coming from at all. None of the events seem to reference the device, I can see it being turned off in the log but I cannot work out what is calling it. It just says:
Feb-13 22:36:54 Device Control Device: Main House Alarm State to Off (0) by/from: CAPI Control Handler
Feb-13 22:36:53 Device Control Device: Main House Away to Off (2) by/from: CAPI Control Handler
Is there a way to turn on more detailed event logging so it logs the state of the various things it is doing? Or some way to track down what is calling this to make the change?

I currently have no scripts at all in the system either.

    Thanks,
    David.

go to Tools/Control Panel and execute the following command:

      Code:
      &hs.debugmode=1023
This will create voluminous debugging information in the following folder: HS3/Debug Logs

The file debug_composite.log will have everything in it.

Don't let it run too long. To turn it off, execute:

      Code:
      &hs.debugmode=0
      tenholde
      tenholde
