Can you provide a little more info. The more info you provide the easier it will be to help you.

What exactly did you do other than apparently upgrade to Ubuntu 18.10?

What version did you migrate from?

Was this a self built system or a purchased system from HomeSeer?

19.10 (Eoan Ermine) is not LTS. Would it not be better to stick with 18.04.4 LTS (Bionic Beaver?)

Have you tried to re-install mono-vbnc? I had to do this manually when I installed mono.

I found out where the files reside - /usr/lib/mono/ then there is a copy of the dll under 4.5, 4.6.2-api, 4.0-api 4.7-api, etc. I noticed in your output that you are running mono 4.0.1. Interestingly the 4.0 directory does not have this file but the 4.0-api and 4.5 directories do. I wonder if you can add a symbolic link in 4.0 to the file in 4.5. I found this when I searched for vbnc2017 error.

                  here is the URL https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/42908

This was for another file but the problem could be similar. The symbolic link would look like this. Tar will not backup symbolic links if there was one on the old system.

                  sudo ln -s /usr/lib/mono/4.5/System.Data.DataSetExtensions.dll /usr/lib/mono/4.0/System.Data.DataSetExtensions.dll

That tells me that 4.5 is not on your machine. I am currently on mono 6.8.0.105 and it is memory stable. My suggestion is to uninstall the current mono and install the latest stable.

Directions are on the mono page

                        https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/

I installed everything listed in section 2 Mono on the webpage and installed mono-vbnc. You would think mono-complete would be everything but it is not.

Here is a link to remove the entire version of mono

                        https://askubuntu.com/questions/6449...ly-remove-mono

This is the solution from the site I use to totally remove. It is the last option and it allowed me to check everything as I went.

"This is how I did on my 16.04
Before someone starts raging and telling me there was a better, faster and more concise way to do that: Yes, I know. I took the "long way" to analyze the results of each step and triple check
                        what I was doing."

I saw on this post https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/li...nd-lost-plugin that you upgraded to 6.8.0.105. Did this fix your problem on this thread?
