    HS3 won't restart

Ok, been a persistent problem since I converted to win10
HS3 won't restart on boot or crash?
i have checked and the heartbeat thing is checked, but I don't think it is loading as if I kill HS3 nothing happens.
if HS3 crashes (takes about 2 weeks, but it does....)I only find out when it stops responding...

how do I get the auto-restart to work on Win10?
It used to be (win7) that it was a pain to shutdown HS3 for big updates as it kept restarting on its own, now I can't get it to restart....

I will try this for the auto start, but what about the auto "restart" for when HS3 crashes? Jon00's bluetooth plug-in doesn't like something, so it only lasts about 1-1.5 weeks before HS3 just stops. no warning, no error, just desktop. i can live with it, if it will restart on its own...

this only works "at login" but since i am already logged in...

Do you have HS Sentry enabled? Tools > Setup > HSSentry

Do you see HS3Sentry.exe running under Task Manager/Details tab?

Can you still access the HS web server when HS3 crashes?

no, that's how i typically learn that it has crashed in that something doesn't run and i try to access the server. Not going to happen.
when i get to the server area, HS3 is no longer showing anywhere. no error message or anything on the screen.

i looked at the processes, HS3sentry is the first task running... when it is happy. haven't checked after a crash, will do next crash....

HSSentry relies on communication with the HS Web server. If it can still access that, it will not restart Homeseer (hence the need to check that when Homeseer crashes).

Also, you need to check if HSSentry can restart Homeseer. You can do so just by shutting down HS3 manually and waiting 140-160 secs. HSSentry is not shutdown by Homeseer.

                  HSsentry is there so...
ok, I tried killing HS3 to see what would happen.
in about a min. an empty box appeared on the desktop and then... nothing... nothing further happened. so i restarted HS3 manually.

Don’t know if events work on win10 - I run on ZEE and have this event to auto-restart.
