Speak command prevents following actions from executing?

Hi folks, has anyone else noticed this issue?

    I'm running HS3/Hometroller Zee S2 (details below)

I have found (and it's not always-always the case), that when I have a series of Event actions, sometimes those actions that follow a Speak command, never get executed.
    One specific example
My lawn sprinklers event actions looked like this
    1. -speak to announce the start of watering cycle
    2. -run the watering actions
    3. -speak to announce completion of watering
    4. -(and for debugging, write a log entry)
With the Speak action in there, sometimes lines 2-4 wouldn't run.
When I removed the Speak entries, no problem.

Similarly, I noticed within scripts, that if I have use the hs.Speak, then sometimes those scripts don't run again later because the log says that script is already running (and I've ensured that it's not violating any time constraints I've set).
Once I removed the hs.Speak, the issue went away.

Using Windows Speaker 3.0.0.10 (is there a newer one?)

    Cheers
    Steve
