    What does HSSentry do?

I've searched the forum and help file, but I see no details on what HSSentry does - other than "If the server does not respond, the system is restarted".

What system is restarted? HS? the server? Nothing to configure? Does it actually work? Is it a long delay?

I have HSSentry checked on the Setup...General page, but nothing seems to happen when HS stops responding. I see Sentry running in task manager, but nada.

It just monitors the HSConsole.exe app and restarts it if it dies. Try it out: kill HSConsole.exe from the task manager and you should see it come back in a few mins.

My understanding is that it monitors HS's web service and restarts HS if the web service becomes unresponsive. The help file states this:

Enables a small monitoring program the monitors the built in web server. If the server does not respond, the system is restarted.

I'm not completely certain what it does... So, better to have it enabled? or not?

It restarts HS if HS's web interface becomes non-responsive. I typically have it running, and only shut it down if I am doing maintenance on my HS server and have manually shut down HS.
