12 hour AM/PM vs. 24 hour format

Moving from a windows install to a linux install on a pi3 I can't seem to find out how to get the time at the top of the main HS3 web UI to show Am/Pm vs. 24 hour format.

I'm in USA, California or Pacific time.

from an SSH prompt, make sure everything is set to en_US for your locale.

Also, on the setup screen, there is a checkbox for using 24-hr in the log file - not sure if that carries over system-wide or not.

Checked that and everything wasn't US.
Went into my /etc/default/Locale file and made the change to "en_US" and it was all corrected and working fine after a reboot.
