Thanks in advance! Don't worry, HST is working on the last steps to make the plugin available in the store. You have 30 days and I expect they will finish it before those days are over

I am starting to work on the first update on the plugin. There is still a lot to do on my list

Hi Wim,

I've just updated from 0.9.3.0 to 1.0.4.0 in the updater. It updated ok, but now some of the scenes I added on your config page wont show any lights, and when I activate them from this page only the 1st hue light changes.
I have had problems with adding scenes and groups already. I started with 0.5.0.0 of the beta and have updated each time.
I wonder if the db has been corrupted somehow? What do you suggest?

I never went that far with the bridge yet. I am controlling 6 lights now (hoping to get few more someday) and so far it is working fine here.
But I can imagine having a lot of bulb is generating a lot of signalling zigbee traffic in the house as commands are passed.

As far I understand one bridge can send 10 single light commands per second, and if you are using groups, 2 group comands per second.
The advantage of using groups is that lights respond based on their membership and will be faster to respond. As example, one group command could control 10 lights, so sending 2 group commands could control 20 lights in one second, where you would need 2 seconds to control 20 lights with light commands.

But like I said before, could not test this number myself. But I do notice group commands for 4 lights are faster responding then controlling each light by itself. And the group commmand makes response look more synchronised.

The music apps I know are sending commands per light... think back on the fact that the bridge can send 10 light commands per second - this means the music app can only change one light once per 2 seconds at the most if you have 20 lights... If you want a nice effect, you should only use every other light (or even one on every three) of the set to have some better response, while using deep color settings.

That is also why I prefer using the group functionality of the bridge instead of keeping track of groups in the plugin. It allows for more speed as long the group is holding a considerable amount of lights

If the number of groups need to be higher, I would think on adding an extra bridge (once the plugin supports it).

Much of the above answer is my assumption, based on what I could find on information from Phillips and other sources.

I think we have two steps to try and get more info:

1. Please start the plugin and try to set debug on the configuration page if you can reach it. Then restarrt the plugin and send me the log copy, eventually filtered on JowiHue by PM. Also try to send some hard copies of the scenes showing only few lights. I need to know what lights are missing on which screen exactly.

2. Take the file JowiHue.db from the data\JowiHue directory and send it to me? I will need to know how many lights you are having.

And a last effort step would be to tkae the JowiHueSample.db from the data\JowiHue db and replace the JowiHue.db with it, but this would request you to recreate the scenes and animation, so hold this as last effort...

Did you delete a group maybe with the last version? Is it possible you are addressing a deleted group in a scene, or addressing a scene in an animation that was deleted? In the first version of 0.9 there was an possible issue with that. The issue is addressed now, but I don't know if an existing scene or animation that holds the error will be recognised.

Opening each scene or animation might show the issue to you by comment.
Otherwise, send me the database, so i could test and find the problem scene.

I have checked the database and it seems to me that all should be ok. All lights and groups are adressed ok here (with my devices of course).

i am suspecting one of the devices (The second device especially) is holding an error in your situation. Somewhere in the process of 0.5 to current version there could have been a issue?
Would it be possible for you to delete the JowiHue devices (except the bridge) once?

The reliable way to do that is to follow the next steps:
1. Make sure you have a backup of homeseer, especially the HS database.
2. disable the JowiHue plugin
3. delete the devices belonging to JowiHue, except the bridge device.
4. restart the plugin and devices should return again.

This would cause events adresssing the devices directly to be out of order so you will need to check these after the plugin restarted
Events that use the JowiHue condtions or action should survive.

Let me know how it goes?

Unfortunately deleting the devices didn't fix it, the jowihue events/conditions did survive but not the devices.
I've restored for now, any other ideas before I wipe it and have to go thru the 200+ events??

Got the plugin installed and up and running but now when I go to creativity it says the bridge is unavailable and this is in the log:

Error in Initplugin: Thread is running or terminated{0x3B} it cannot restart.

BridgesAvailable::Error: BridgesAvailable:could not scan network, is internet available? Thread is running or terminated{0x3B} it cannot restart.

when I shut the plugin down and restart it it works again
