  • New Manual Devices interface property set to my plugin

I have just begun moving from HS2 to HS3 and have my first plugin up and running. Pretty simple, captures Panasonic PBX records via serial port and raise events.

If I use the Device Management screen to manually create a new virtual device, this device ends up with its interface property set to my plugin. My plugin does not use SetIO, and I assume HS3 is expecting the plugin to do something when you click on the buttons on the management page, so my virtual devices don't work (because of faulty interface property pointing to my plugin).

If I disable my plugin, then all is well. New devices are created with no interface property (that displays on the advance tab) and all works as expected. I can then restart my plugin and the device continues to work properly.

So, if my plugin is enabled when a new device is manually created, the new device gets its interface property set to my plugin.

What am I doing that I shouldn't, or not doing that I should?
